Imphal, November 06 2012: The proscribed UG group Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has alleged that Hijam Babu whose bullet ridden body was found near Lunghar village in Ukhrul district was killed by security forces after being arrested.

In a statement, RPF claimed that the victim, Hijam Babu was arrested by a combined team of Imphal East Commandos and 28th AR on the night of November 2 at around 7 pm from Andro Kharam Leikai Leichil Kappi.

The killing of Babu shows that the government and the security forces have been carrying out state sponsored terrorism in the state, the statement alleged, and appealed to the people of the state to raise their voices against such killings.
