Imphal, July 05 2023:
Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) contended that the statement made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Virtual Summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) contradicts government of India's (GOI) long political game plan in Manipur.
PM Modi took struck tough posture against cross border terrorism and terror funding before the SCO leaders at the Summit but the centre is giving privilege to illegal Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists from Myanmar similar to Indian citizens and even arranged their settlement in Manipur.
Instead of flushing out illegal immigrants from Myanmar who entered Indian soil and carried out narco-terrorism activities by planting poppy in large scale, there are signs of the GOI giving logistic support to them.
The centre is fully aware of the threat to Indian citizens of Manipur and collection of taxes for a long time by these narco-terrorists taking undue advantage of signing the Suspension of Operation (SoO) agreement, it maintained while alleging that these 'terrorists' are trying to settle in Manipur and establish a permanent narco-terrorist state.
To achieve their dream, narco-terrorists are using various new tactics and attacking peace loving innocent Meetei villagers in the peripheral valley areas using sophisticated weapons and explosives.
All these terror acts are being executed in full view of central security forces with the latter simply relishing the situation as if
an entertainment event, the COCOMI said in a statement.
According to the COCOMI, there must be a tacit understanding between the GOI and SoO militants for allowing well armed Chin-Kuki terrorists to attack and terrorising innocent Meetei villagers.
PM Modi's stoic silence and 'spectator attitude' of central forces on the ongoing violence in Manipur indicate that there is a hidden agenda behind onslaught on Meetei people by the well-armed Chin-Kuki terrorists.
Condoling the demise of Abujam Ronaldo of Heirok, who was killed while trying to arrange weapons for fighting Chin-Kuki narco terrorists, COCOMI appealed to the government of Manipur to resolve the matter at the earliest and prevent such incident in future.
