Kuki bodies say no to talks with UNC only

Imphal, February 04 2014:
Reiterating that any kind of political arrangement for one ethnic group which is represented by United Naga Council (UNC) in Manipur will not be accepted, Kuki Inpi Manipur and Kuki Organization for Human Rights have jointly served an open memorandum to the Prime Minister on February 3 .
In the memorandum, the Kuki bodies referred to the news report wherein it was stated that the the tripartite consisting of UNC, Manipur Government and Indian Government will be 'upgraded to the political level', and categorically stated that the outcome of the talk, in whatever form it may, will never be accepted by the Kuki people before an amicable settlement in the Court of Law on the issue related to those 905 innocent Indian Kukis murdered, 360 Indian Kuki villages uprooted and 100, 000 Indian Kukis made homeless refugees in their own land.
