Nagaland poll notification issued

The formal election process for the elections of 13th Nagaland began today with the issue of the Notification by the Election Commission of India, the Governor of Nagaland and the respective Returning Officers of the districts.
Nagaland Deputy Electoral Officer N Moa Aier told UNI that with the issuance of Notification, the election process of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly began today and the candidate to contest the elections may file their nomination papers to their respective Returning Officers of the respective districts.
However, there was no nomination filed today by any candidate in any district headquarter till the time ended at 1500 hours.
He said that after issuing election notification, intending candidates could file nomination in the offices of the Returning Officers (ROs) from 1100 to 1500 hours till February 7 .
Briefing the media persons at his office, Nagaland Chief Electoral Officer Abhijit Sinha informed that the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) companies have started to reach the State and more are expected to arrive at Nagaland soon.
