Chandel, August 30 2014 : Around 45 donors, most of whom personnel of 20 AR donated their blood during a blood donation camp organised jointly by Association of Voluntary Blood Donors Chandel Branch and 20 Assam Rifles here on Friday.

The camp was conducted in connection with the 46th raising day of the 20 Assam Rifles in collaboration with the Department of Immuno Haematology & Transfusion Blood (IHBT) RIMS Imphal and Blood bank Thoubal district.

Apart from CNPO President Ws Kanral Anal, Commandant of 20 AR, Col Anil M Varghese and CMO of Chandel Dr N Birchandra who attended the inaugural function of the camp as Chief Guest, Functional president and Guest of Honour respectively, Senior Medical Officer of IHBT RIMS Dr Rachandra was also present as resource person on the occasion.
