Training programme concluded

Kangpokpi, July 30 2015:
A 3-day Department of Bio-Technology, Govt of India sponsored training programme on Post-Harvest Technology at KVK-Senapati campus concluded on Thursday.
The programme was organized by Amity International Centre for Post Harvest Technology & Cold Chain Management, (AICPHT& CCM), Amity University, Noida, U.P.in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Hengbung, Senapati.
The concluding day of the training programme began with the observance of a 2-minute silence as a mark of respect to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Former President of India which was followed by technical session handled by Ms Naga Laxmi M Raman, Asst Director and Dr Vigya Mishra, Asst Professor from Amity University as resource persons.
About 30 rural youths from the district participated in the training programme where a short session was devoted to feedback and interaction with the participants.
Dr B S Hansra, Professor from AICPHT& CCM, Amity University, Noida in his concluding remark advised the participants to take up home scale entrepreneurial activities for additional income.
The programme came to an end with vote of thanks by Mr Deepak Kumar, Programme Coordinator (i/c), KVK-Senapati.
