Cross border polio vaccination starts

Imphal, July 29 2018: Moreh Public Health Centre has opened a cross border polio vaccination booth at Gate No 2 Moreh, Tengnoupal.

The polio vaccination team and staff of Moreh PHC has started polio vaccination/immunization to children under of both the countries at the Gate No 2.According to a staff of Moreh PHC, the booth was opened under the aegis of Moreh PHC following an order of the Family Welfare Department.

The vaccination/immunization starts at 9 am and continue till 3 pm daily.

Children under 5 years of age near the area and those who cross border were given the polio vaccine, he said.

6 to 10 children are administered polio vaccine daily.

The programme will help prevent the spread of polio, he said and continued that both the countries will be benefited from the project.
