3 KRA(U), 1 KRA cadre held

Imphal, October 27 2015: Troops of Jwalamukhi Battalion of Senapati Brigade under Red Shield Division conducted counter insurgency search operation in the general area of Khenjang village in Senapati district and arrested three active cadres of KRA (U) on October 25. In a statement, PRO Defence said the apprehendees were identified as Lalminsei Singsit (18), son of Ginlen Singsit, Chonglenglun Misao (19), son of Alet Misao and Camyalein Chongloi (19), son of Sehchan Chongloi of Khenjang village under Saparmaina Police Station in Senapati district.

Two AK-47 Rifles with 10 live ammunition; 14 live ammunition of M-16 and two Magazines of AK-47 Rifle items were recovered from their position.

The cadres along with recoveries were handed over to Police.

Meanwhile, the same troops conducted insurgency operation in the general area of IT Road Turibari village under Senapati district and nabbed one active cadre of KRA on October 22.The apprehendee was identified as "Sgt" Haominthang Hangsing alias Sparrow (25) son of Lamneah Hangsing of Wakotphai village under Kangpokpi Police Station in Senapati district.

Investigation revealed that he had joined the group in 2006 and involved in many extortion and nefarious activities in IT Road.

One Sword, Micromax Mobile, BSNL SIM Card and cash of Rs 200 items were recovered from his possession.
