Imphal, August 27 2013:
Observing that there would be loss of around thousand kilometres of Manipur's territory when the 398 km long Indo-Myanmar border fencing is completed, Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Manipur State Council has asked the Congress Government if the later is a robot of the Centre.
A press release of the CPI(ML) MSC said, the initial stage of the border fencing which has completed around 10 km has shifted village of Manipur on the other side (Myanmar) of the fencing and part of it done in the middle of a village.
"Is the committee led by Principal Secretary (Home) formed by the Government sent to the fencing area for making a trip and sightseeing of the green woods there?", the release issued by the CPI (ML) MSC General Secretary asked.
In the release, he also asked.
"What is the meaning of the statement that it is not border fencing but security fencing? Is the CM O Ibobi led Government a lifeless robot commanded by Delhi for it could not brave anything with the later?" .
Questioning the State Government if it only sees the 10% and contract works and if Delhi do not see Manipur as a part of India, CPI (ML) asked, 'If it is carefree on the loss of Manipur's land then why the matter of China intruding in India discussed in the parliament? Why it claimed POK (taken by Pakistan after war) as India's property when it remained careless on the gifting of Kabo Valley?' .
