FEGOCTA mulls legal action against Govt

Imphal, November 26 2013: Decrying the failure of the Government to implement the 6th UGC ROP, National Education Policy, appoint regular Directors and Principals and fill up the vacant teaching posts, librarians and support staffs in colleges, Federation of Government College Teachers' Association (FEGOCTA) today staged a sit-in-protest at Imphal College here today.

Speaking to media on the sidelines of the protest, L Landhoni, president of FEGOCTA, lamented that the State Government has been discriminated college teachers by not implementing the 6th UGC ROP and National Education Policy despite repeated requests.

She stated the government's attitude towards the higher education is not in the right line as the society will be developed only when the higher education sector is developed.

She also announced that the Association will take up legal course of action against the failure of the government to implement the rightful demands of the college teachers in Manipur.
