Mass vaccination conducted at Oinam, Konthoujam ACs

Oinam A/C MLA and KVIB chairman L Radhakishor Khuman facilitated contact tracing at Toubul Bazar and mass vaccination against Covid-19 at Ngaikhong Khullen Gandhi Bazar on Friday.
Indigenous Arts & Social Development Organisation and Young Pioneer Club conducted the vaccination programme during which 44 people residing in containment zones of Toubul GP ward no 1, 2 and 5 were inoculated.
Four people were also confirmed of contracting Covid-19 during the vaccination programme.
Moreover, Khullen GP and United Development Club, Ngaikhong along with PHC Oinam facilitated vaccination of 250 people who are above 18 years of age.
Meanwhile, Phoijing Awang Covid-19 Task Force conducted mass vaccination programme at the local community hall and administered Covid vaccine to 200 people above 18 years of age.
Konthoujam A/C MLA and Chief Minister's Health advisor Dr Sapam Rajan, Imphal West DC Th Kirankumar, Task Force advisor K Suleshwor and convenor H Roben Singh jointly inspected the vaccination programme.
Speaking on the sidelines, MLA Ranjan informed that vaccination is the only way to prevent severity from Covid-19 .
Vaccination programme will be carried out in other areas if necessary, he assured, and urged everyone to get vaccinated so as to curb the spread of the infectious virus.
MLA Ranjan also handed over a four-wheeler Scorpio to the task force for use in spreading public awareness about Covid-19 .
