Senapati District Water and Sanitation Committee, Manipur in a statement today denounced and condemned an alleged complaint lodged by one T Victor of Katomi Village, Maram against the declaration of four villages namely Liyai Khullen, Koide Mathak, Thingba Khullen and Thingba Khunou as open defecation free.
The statement issued by the member secretary of Senapati District Water and Sanitation Committee, Manipur LS Thole clarified that T Victor is not a villager of any of the four villages and alleged that he (T Victor) has defamed the sincere efforts of the Senapati PHE Division.
Senapati District was declared open defecation free by the Deputy Commissioner, Senapati Chairman, Senapati District Water and Sanitation Committee on March 27 in a function in presence of Minister L Dikho and Nidhi Kesarwani, Secretary, PHED, said the statement.
