Conflict guise for turning indigenes to sacrificial lambs: AIFB

All India Forward Bloc (AIFB), Manipur State Committee has remarked that some unscrupulous elements are trying to make the indigenous people of the state into sacrificial lamps under the guise of the conflict, which has been raging for almost two years.
According to a press release issued by AIFB Manipur State Committee media cell, the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was observed at Yaibirel Children Home, Keibi Sanapat, Imphal East on Thursday with Committee secretary Khomdram Gyaneshwor as chief guest and executive member Yumnam Sarat Meitei as president, while NCP Manipur State Committee president Soram Iboyaima, Shiv Sena (UBT) vice president Shyam Singh, CPI (M) state secretary Kshetrimayum Shan-ta, CPI Manipur State Council executive member Khagem-bam Shamungou and AIFB, Manipur State Committee secretariat members Maibam Nabakishore and Sapam Opendro were the guests of honour.
During the observance, Gyaneshwor recounted the life history and contributions of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in the freedom struggle.
He continued that after getting independence from British, the citizens of this country and state are now being suppressed by certain group of people.
Reflecting on the conflict, he said that the violence was Orchestrated and manipulated by some unscrupulous group of people, with an attempt to turn the indigenous people into sacrificial lambs for their own selfish interests.
He called upon all concerned not to act on emotions or sentiments and fall to trap of the "real" enemies.
Once we identify the adversaries, we can then truly save ourselves, he remarked.
As part of the observance, food and other edible items were distributed to the children staying at the Home, the release conveyed.
