CPI seconds Rs 50 lakh compensation for family of Sundari

Communist Party of India Manipur State Council (CPI MSC) said compensation of Rs 50 lakh should be given to the family of (late) Wahengbam Sundari Devi.
CPI MSC took the decision at an executive meeting of the council held today at the office of Kumbi local council to urge the Government to provide the compensation which was announced by the Prime Minister for frontline workers in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, said a statement issued by CPI MSC.
Wahengbam Sundari Devi who recently died of unknown reason was working as an anganwadi worker which is included in the list of frontline workers and so her family should be given the compensation amount as promised by the Prime Minister, added the statement.
