Lilong, July 21 2014: An Iftar Party was hosted by Minister of Agriculture & Fishery Md.Abdul Nasir at Bari Jame Masjid, Lilong yesterday.

Apart from Governor VK Duggal, Chief Minister O.Ibobi Singh and Deputy CM Gaikhangam and Commissioner Health Dr.Suhel Akhtar, around 5,000 people including youths, Hajis, Moulavis, elders of various age groups attended Iftar party.

Delivering the welcome address, Minister Md.Abdul Nasir thanked everyone present at the Iftar party.

The beneficial aspect of Ramdhan (Fasting prayer) month was uttered by Mufti Salatur Rahaman and it was followed by a mass Dua (prayer) led by the Head Imam of the Bari Jame Masjid, Lilong.

The Imam prayed to Almighty Allah for blessings to all Rozadars (fast keepers) and for those who were present in the function.

The congregation was announced to break the fast of the day with the water and eatable sweet items.

At the end of the party, the Governor wished everyone a Happy Ed day.
