Jiribam, February 21 2021: The foundation stone for the construction of a new building of the Tribal Market near IB Karong in Jiribam was laid yesterday by Jiribam district MLA, Md Ashab Uddin.

The programme was attended by the local MLA along with various tribal leaders of the area.

Addressing the programme, Md Ashab Uddin mentioned that like the country, Jiribam district is inhabited by various communities with diverse cultures.

The construction for the new building of the Tribal Market has been initiated after a deliberation with the MAHUD Minister to bring development in the area, he added.

Md Ashab Uddin further assured that the construction of a Guest House to accommodate the various tribal villagers has also been proposed.
