MR personnel thrashed by ILPS supporters; vehicle found missing

Imphal, August 19 2015: A personnel of 8th MR was reportedly thrashed by some supporters of ILPS following which his Honda Activa scooter with registration number MNO-4B-2067 was found missing from the site.

The MR personnel have been identified as Sorokhaibam Raghu (40) s/o Kunjabihari of Charangpat.

During a press meet at press club here on Wednesday, Raghu said that he was stopped by some ILPS agitators who were blocking the road at Kiyamgei Thong Pal Ahanbi near Nishan Show Room while he was returning home in his scooter.

A scuffle ensued between him and the protesters at the site.

Suddenly, a protester attacked him with a club and he fell unconscious, said Raghu.

When he regained consciousness, he found his Honda Activa missing from the spot, said Raghu.

He claimed that a sum of rupees one lakh, 5 ATM cards, one passbook of UBI were inside his scooter.

Raghu said that he has lodged a complaint with the Singjamei Police Station regarding the incident.

He appealed to all ILPS supporters not to repeat such incidents in the future.
