Orientation / training programme begins

A two day orientation cum training programme on 'Prevention and Early Identification of Developmental Disabilities' began today at the mini auditorium of RIMS.
The programme is jointly organised by Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons Manipur, Department of Community Medicine RIMS, State Commission for the Persons with Disabilities, Govt of Manipur under the aegis of National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID).
Director of RIMS Professor A Santa Singh, Dean of Academic RIMS Brojen Singh Akoijam, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities Th Dilipkumar Singh and Assistant Professor of NIEPID Secunderabad Dr G Mary Aurupa graced the occasion as the presidium members.
Addressing the gathering Prof A Santa said that the training programme will be beneficial for the nurses and it will help in the progress of their career.
He thanked NIEPID for organising such training programmes in RIMS and requested NIEPID to conduct similar training programmes in future as well.
Today's training session was participated by around 150 nursing students.
