Imphal, November 18 2017: A 24 year old woman was found hanged to death at Haobam Marak Ngangom Leikai, under Singjamei police station, at around 10 pm yesterday.

The body was handed over to the family members today after a post mortem was conducted at RIMS morgue.

According to police source, the woman was found hanged to death with the help of a Khudei (traditional male attire) from the ventilation of her uncle's house, which is still under construction and which is located next to the her house.

The police further stated that according to the family members, the deceased woman, identified as Irengbam Bulbul Devi (24) d/o (L) Pramod of Haobam Marak Ngangom Leikai, had been reportedly missing since yesterday's night and while searching, the woman was found hanged to death, by her younger brother.
