Rationalization of motor vehicle taxes to be discussed

The Union Ministry of Road Affairs (Transport Resource Wing) has convened a meeting of the Committee on Issue of Rationalization of Motor Vehicles, which was formed to rationalize motor vehicle taxes, on November 21 at the conference hall of Assam Administrative Staff College, Guwahati.
Sources revealed that Ministry of Road Affairs (Transport Resource Wing) has already informed the concerned officials of the Transport Departments of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya and Mizoram to attend the said meeting to be held at Assam Administrative Staff College located at Khanapara in Guwahati.
Meanwhile, training programme of the senior non-IAS officers of the North East states is scheduled to take place from November 26 to 30.The training programme will be organized by National Centre for Livelihood Management, Lal Bahadur National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie.
The senior non-IAS officers of Manipur who have been selected by the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) for attending the training programme include Y Iboyaima, ADC of Jiribam; A Tombikanta, Additional Secretary of Labour; C Hangshing, ADC of Churachandpur; W Rajen, Director of Settlement and Law Record and V Verla, Director of Small Saving.
