NEET held at 19 centres

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate), NEET (UG)-2022 was held across 19 centres in the State yesterday.
The test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in 'pen and paper mode' for studying MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS and BHMS courses were held at 546 cities within India and 14 cities abroad.
Speaking to The Sangai Express today, NTA city coordinator Amrita Naorem informed that 7922 candidates appeared in the NEET (UG)-2022 held yesterday in the State out of 7924 candidates registered for the test.
She said that the test was held very smoothly at 19 educational institutes in strict compliance with the Covid safety guidelines.
Even isolation rooms were arranged at all the centres so that Covid positive candidates could give the test if there were any, Amrita said.
She also conveyed gratitude to the security personnel deployed at the exam centres for ensuring that the test was conducted peacefully.
Amrita Naorem is also the director of Shishu Nistha Niketan.
