Imphal, January 18 2025:
The fourth foundation day of Eikhoigi Apunba Saktam Keithel, Imphal West was celebrated at Manipur Press Club here on Saturday.
The celebration was attended by Manipur University Department of Law head Dr Yumnam Premananda as chief guest, LEIKOL president Dr Kshetrimayum Subadani Devi as guest of honour and Eikhoigi Apunba Saktam Keithel, Imphal West president Haobam Chitra Devi as president.

He stressed the need for CM, MLAs and Pradhans to understand and properly utilise the power given to them by the Constitution.

He then congratulated Eikhoigi Apunba Saktam Keithel on getting registered, but stressed the need for learning the relevant by-laws, just as the police have knowledge of relevant laws.
He continued that despite being the original inhabitants of the state, the indigenous people are now living as refugees.
"When one observes the major market areas, the state does not seem like Manipur but like other states.
This is a dangerous situation and there is a need for changing the ecosystem, which should be undertaken by the leaders so as to ensure unity and solidarity, and preserve the interests of the future generation".
Expressing concern over the current situation, Dr Premananda remarked "If we can control the market, we can control the politics and economy.
This needs to be deliberated minutely, so as to further instill the spirit of nationalism amongst all" .
