SDWA condemns assault of student leader

Joining the condemnation against the assault of TRobert Marara at Imphal on September.
13, the Senapati District Women's Association (SDWA) has vehemently condemned the physical assault of the student leader by Manager of Ching-Tam Rice Hotel and suspected armed police personals at North AOC, Imphal In a statement, the SDWA stated that, "attack on tribal leaders speaks volume of the treatment towards the tribals of the state and that, the State government should react positively by booking those responsible and punish them befittingly.
By doing so, it will curb the communal feelings of the state and promote safety of every innocent citizen of the state especially the tribals".
The women's body has termed the incident as "act of communal intrigue to promote disharmony among the different communities of the state".
The efforts of the women's community to promote peace and co-existence are threatened by such inhuman and indiscipline handiworks of the Manipur police and anti-social elements.
For which, the SDWA request the concerned Minister and department to check such activities and punish those responsible policemen irrespective of tribe, caste and post.
