Students awarded, benefits distributed

Kakching, July 16 2018: Ward No 8 Councillor and Vice Chairperson of Kakching Khunou Municipal (KKMC) Council Khumukcham Gojendro Singh has felicitated meritorious students and distributed widows' pension, sprayer pumps and LPG connections among others during a ceremony held at Kakching Khunou Cheksapat Mandap Sunday.

The programme organised by the Ward Development Committee, Ward No 8 was attended by retired Headmaster of Kakching Khunou Government High School Mayanglambam Chandramani Singh, Vice Chairperson of KKMC and Chairman of Ward Development Committee Khumukcham Gojendro Singh, retired Headmaster M Ibohal, staff of Ashangbi Indane Sugnu S Shantikumar and Kh Rameshwar and M Sunil of the Ward attended the vent as dignitaries.

26 students of the Ward who have excelled in the Class X and XII examinations were felicitated and given simple gifts of appreciation.

Old age pension was delivered to 12 aged persons of the ward while 3 widows were presented with widow pensions.

21 families were provided LPG connections by the Ashangbi Indane Sugnu under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.

31 families were provided ration cards while 15 farmers were given sprayer pumps.

Teachers and various other personalities were felicitated at the event.
