Protestors storm residence of MP Meinya & MLA K Sarat

Imphal, July 14 2015 : MLA K Sarat of Konthoujam Assembly Constituency has assured the women protestors of ILPS Bill who stormed his residence on Tuesday for taking up the voice of the people before the special Assembly Session.

The women protestors also demanded a people friendly ILPS Bill to be introduced in the State.

The protest was organised by Konthoujam Apunba Meira Paibi Lup.

On the other hand, large number of women protestors was stopped by the police as they tried to storm the house of MP Dr Th Meinya.

The protestors continued to stage sit in protest near the house of Dr Meinya at Khumbong Keithel demanding a people friendly ILPS to safeguard the indigenous people of the State.

The protest was organised by women association from Khumbong Keithel, Moidangpok Apunba Ima Meira Paibi Lup, Moidangpok Khunou, Sajirok Heikrujam, Khaidem Laingamkhul, Ngairangbam Konthoujam and New Keithel Manbi.
