Imphal, July 14 2014:
The indefinite bandh called by the Public Action Committee along Uripok-Kangchup Road demanding justice in the murder case of Soram Prakreet of Uripok Sorbol Thingel affected the normal life and crippled the traffic on Uripok Kangchup and RIMS roads.
Speaking to reporters, Prakreet's aunt Soram Taruni stated that on June 4, the well-known singer Alvina Gonson allegedly rang Soram Prakeet up at around 11 pm and then again at 11.30 pm.
Prakeet went out from his house right after attending the second call from Alvina.
She added that Prakeet did not return home that night.
The worried family phoned him the next morning and were told by Prakeet that he would return home soon.
However, he never did.
While the family members were trying to find his whereabouts, they received a call from police and were informed that Prakeet's dead body was recovered from Keirang.

Family members stated that they did not suspect anyone however they appealed to the Department concerned to arrest the culprit(s) at the earliest.
It further added that the bandh would be called State-wide in case the Government fails to give positive response regarding the murder case.
In the meantime, several Meira Paibi organisations protesting the killing of Soram Prakeet held a torch rally at around 9pm from Naoremthong to Uripok.
