Governor flags off Vigyan Jyot rally

Imphal, March 14 2018: Governor Dr Najma Hepulla flagged off 'Vigyan Jyot' rally from Raj Bhavan to Manipur University today, as part of the upcoming 105th Indian Science Congress on March 16 at the University.

Speaking to a team of media persons, she stressed on the importance of maintaining and preserving the biodiversity of the State for the betterment of the people.

She said that the nature should not be exploited but to be preserved which was the Prime Minister's message to all.

The Governor expressed her gratitute to the PM while stating the that the Prime Minister has kept the tradition and has accepted to inaugurate the Science Congress even though it was not scheduled to be held at Manipur University but in Osmania University, Hyderabad.

The rally was organized under the theme "Reaching the unreach through Science and Technology" .
