MLAs asked to shed differences

Imphal, February 12 2025:
Explaining that the village volunteers emerged out of the conflict with the sole purpose to protect and secure territory of Manipur, Village Protection Force, Sinam advisor Heikrujam Rajeshwar expressed strong resentment that differences among the elected representatives is creating distressful situation for the people.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club, here, on Wednesday, Rajeshwar reminded all concerned that it is not the time to remain silent but to unite and protect Manipur.
The present political crisis in the midst of the on-going conflict should not distract the people from shouldering the responsibility to face adversary element, he stressed, and advised both the ruling and opposition parties, as well as MLAs of Manipur, to reach a consensus on who should lead the masses and put an end to the conflict.
He also cautioned that the elected representatives should bear the consequences if they fail to name the leader and create problems for the people and village volunteers.
