Ban on Orange fest to remain: ZYF

Zeliangrong Youth Front (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) has made it clear that the prohibition and restriction imposed on orange growers from participating in the Orange festival due to be held at Noney on December 14 would still stand until an amicable solution has not been arrived at.
In a statement, Joint Secretary of the Front David Kamei, informed that a delegation of Zeliangrong Youth Front led by its President and accompanied by General Secretary, Joint Secretary, of ZYF (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland), Chairman, ZYF Tamenglong Zone, General Secretary, ZYF Imphal West, Finance Secretary, ZYF Luangchum Zone and Publicity & Information Secretary, ZYF Nungba Zone met Deputy Chief Minister at his Office, located at Manipur Old Secretariat today.
The meeting was also attended by Vice Chairman, Hills Area Committee (HAC) and MLA of Tamei A/C.During the meeting which began from 6: 36 pm and lasted till 7:58 pm, the 6-point charter of demands submitted by the ZYF to the Govt was discussed but the meeting ended without any concrete solution, exempt fixing of another meeting with the Chief Minister on December 13 at 4:00 pm for further discussion.
So, the restriction imposed on orange growers from participation in the Orange festival will remained until an amicable solution is arrived at.
