Micro watershed training concludes

A two-day district level training programme on "Institution and Capacity Building for Development of Micro Watershed Project in Hills" was organized by the District Officer, Horticulture &Soil Conservation on July 9 and 10 at the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) conference hall, Senapati.
The development of micro watershed project in the hills under the Watershed Development Project on Shifting Cultivation Area (WPDSCA) a sub-scheme of Rastriya Krishi Vigya Yojana (RKVY) was sponsored by Department of Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Government Manipur.
About 40 participants from the four villages of Kabung Khunou, Ngatan, Pumdumlong and Robve Solphe attended the training programme, which was inaugurated Dr.N Binabon Singh, DAO, Senapati and Th.Biren Singh, D.O (H&SC), Senapati as chief guest and president respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Th Biren Singh explained that the four villages were enlisted for the scheme while other villages were covered by the Integrated Watershed Management Project (IWMP) of DRDA.
