Senapati, December 08 2024:
The Poumai Naga Union (PNU) has officially revoked its decision of non-co-operation against the NSCN/GPRN, ANSAM, and NWUM .
This decision was reached during a joint meeting of the PNU Executive Council with advisors, assembly affairs, frontal organisations (PNM, PNTM) and zonal organisations (CNU, LNU, PNC), held on December 6, at the PNU office.
In a press statement, PNU stated that the meeting deliberated extensively on the NSCN/GPRN s issuance of an Indictment Order against PNU officials, which had prompted the PNU's declaration of non-cooperation.
The discussions also considered appeals made by prominent Naga organisations, including the Naga Hoho, NSF, GNF, NPO, and senior Naga citizens in Manipur.
The decision aligns with Resolution No 4 adopted during the PNU General Assembly held on September 30, 2024, at Purul Atongba, which called for the revocation of the non-cooperation movement.
After careful examination of the situation and in consideration of the broader welfare of the Naga society, PNU resolved to revoke the non-cooperation policy against NSCN/GPRN, ANSAM, and NWUM.
The union emphasised that this step reflects a commitment to fostering unity within the Naga community and advancing the collective Naga cause, underscoring the importance of mutual understanding and cooperation within the community.
