Imphal, November 08 2019: The Film Forum Manipur has directed all individual, groups and associations related to Manipuri film industry not to participate or attend the coming Manipur Sangai Festival unless resolutions to safeguard State's integrity are taken by convening State Assembly Session at the earliest.

The Film Forum Manipur (FFM) held alert meeting today and has taken resolutions in light of the prevailing law and order situation relating to the agreement reached between the NSCN(IM) and the Government of India recently on Naga issue, said a statement issued by its secretary, information and communication, K Premanda.

The State Government must convene emergency Manipur Assembly Session to take resolutions against looming threats to State's integrity, it said and appealed all concerned not to hold film charity event/shows at Leikais across the State.

Cinema halls, however may continue to screen films/cinemas, it said.
