Water pipe laying work in full swing in Moreh

Moreh, May 08 2022: PHED, Tengnoupal.

Division assistant engineer Yumnam Basanta Singh is personally supervising the work for laying of pipes for commencement of tap water supply in different localities of Moreh town.

AE Basanta has been stationing in Moreh since the past lew days to oversee the ongoing works so as to ensure supply of tap water in the border town within this month.

Meanwhile, communi ty leaders of Moreh have thanked tribal affairs and hills minister Letpao Haokip for advising PHED officials to station at Moreh.

Pipe laying work is currently undergoing at Labuk Leikai of Moreh Ward No 5 Muslim Basti with the target of completing the work by the end of this month.

Meanwhile, Manipuri Muslim Council Moreh vice president Abdul Hamit thanked minister Letpao Haokip for keeping the promises he made before the election.

Hamit said that people residing in different localities of Moreh have been suffering for a long time but Letpao has taken up initiative to improve road and complete water supply pipe laying works.

Pipe laying for water supply has completed in most part of the town and ongoing pipe laying work at Labuk Leikai using heavy machinery would be completed soon, he said, adding that black topping of some roads in the border town will begin soon.
