Youth Festival encourages mutual harmony, cohesive co-existence

The 45 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) collaborated with the Sadar Baptist Association (SBA), Manipur in organizing a five-day long Youth Festival at Mapao Khullen village from October 1-5 .
A PRO HQ IGAR (S) statement said sports and cultural activities were taken as part of the festival.
Football tournament, a musical evening and a cultural show were the main events of the festival.
The troops of Nilakuti Post of Assam Rifles extended all the possible assistance in conducting the Youth Festival which succeeded in bringing the youth of different tribes to come together and take pledge for encouraging mutual harmony and a cohesive co-existence.

Around 350 youths of 21 surrounding villages consisting of different communities participated in the festival.
The 24 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles organised a lecture on 'Evils of Insurgency in the society' at Sita village on Wednesday.
In the lecture due emphasis was given on negative impact of insurgency and benefit of remaining in the National Mainstream.
Locals were explained about various steps being undertaken by the Government to bring the youth into the mainstream.
Meanwhile, Maram Battalion of Senapati Briagde, under the aegis of Red Shield Division organized a lecture programme for students of St Mary's School Bendramei on October 3 .
Over 200 students attended the programme.
