RSS, others condemn attack by Kuki militants, criticises central, state Govts

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Manipur Prant has condemned attacks being carried out by Kuki militants using weaponised drones and rockets against innocent civilians in Koutruk, Tronglaobi and Moirang.
In a press release, RSS Manipur Prant informed that a meeting for its members was held and discussed about the present situation in the state and pointed out that attacks being carried out by Kuki militants by using weaponised drones, rockets and missiles against innocent civilians in Koutruk, Tronglaobi and Moirang from September 1 might be the first of its kind in the world.
While criticising both the state and central governments for their failure to end the conflict that has been going on for more than one year, it stated that both state and central governments should work sincerely for restoring peace and normalcy in the state.
At the same time, several organisations condemned the attacks on the Meetei civilians by Kuki militants using weaponised drones and rockets/ missiles leading to the death of one elderly man and injuring five others on Friday.
In separate releases, Manipur Ima, Indigenous Development Mission and Joint Non-Government Voluntary Organisation denounced the relentless attacks being carried out by the Kuki militants on unarmed Meetei civilians with use of sophisticated weapons.
They criticised the central government for allegedly remaining a mute spectator when Kuki militants used sophisticated weapons against the Meeteis and further urged the indigenous communities to join hands in saving Manipur.
While expressed condolences to the family of the elderly man who lost his life in the rocket/missile attack carried out by Kuki militants, they also appealed to the people to be vigilant from such attacks.
