JAC peeved at police inaction

Imphal, July 07 2013: The JAC, formed in connection with the rape case of a girl student from Yairipok Changamdabi, has expressed dissatisfaction over the failure of police to nab the culprits.

The JAC has even pointed out an alleged rapist Md Taj Khan (22), s/o Jahuddin of Yairipok Singga.

However, the authorities are still silent over the issue.

Addressing media persons at Manipur Press Club here today, the victim girl narrated the whole incident, and identified one person among the three alleged rapists.

The identified person Taj Khan happens to be a VDF personnel known earlier to the victim.

The JAC and other social organizations are demanding the authorities to arrest the culprits at the earliest, failing of which they have resolved to launch intense agitations.

The press meet was also attended by members of AMKIL, CHITUWA and Apunba Nupi Khunnai Lamjing Lup.
