An attack on religious diversity

Imphal, May 07 2015 : The Pallel gun attack on May 5 has shocked the entire State while various groups and organization have stand against such act saying that it was an attack on religious diversity in the State.

MEELAL in a press release issued by Publicity Secretary, NC Meirikkomba has urged all groups of the society take a united stand against such narrow minded persons trying to dilute the religious diversity in the State and support each other in holding up our cultural and religious diversity.

Information Centre of Kangleipak (ICOK) condemning the attack claimed it as an unfortunate incident in a State where various religions, groups have flourished since time immemorial.

In a press release issued by its Secretary, H Oken, ICOK urged an immediate rigid action to stop further communal tiffs before any communal killings break out in the State.

All Manipur Women's Social Reformation & Development Samaj (AMWSRDS) has condemned the attack and stated that an attack on religious diversity in the society a threat to mankind.

AMWSRDS also extended its support for the victims and their families.

Takyel Lairembi Thougal Lup has also condemned the attack and appealed to stand united against such communal disgrace.

The lup also held 2-minute silence in the honour of the victim who died.

All Manipur Arts & Culture Students' Union (AMACSU) has also condemned the attack on the ancient culture and religious activity and appealed to avoid such anti-religious demeanor against any religion.

AMACSU extended its support for the victims.

International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA) has stated that the attack was a gesture few desperate maniac who need help and has urged the public to maintain unity and peace, which will set an example that.
