Imphal, October 04 2019: Ukiyo Literature festival will be organised on October 11 and 12 at Manipur Trade & Expo Centre, Lamboikhongnangkhong.

Speaking to media persons at Manipur press Club today, Ukiyo Literature Festival head organiser Rakesh Konjengbam said that award winning authors, State authors will be present at the two-days fest.

The objective of the festival is to experience the benefits of such literature festival to the youth and students of the State as their only source of reading has entirely been the school books and added that organising such fest will provide an opportunity to the youth/students to broaden their reading limit.

The festival came up by book lovers and like minded people, he said and added that as per his experience, decision makers and visionaries across the globe does not limit themselves to books related to their particular field but rather explore with different literature.

Apart from witnessing the State as well outside authors talk about their experience while writing their respective books, many famous publication house will also be present at the festival, he added.
