Governor, CM greet teachers on their day

Imphal, September 04 2024:
Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya, chief minister N Biren and others extended greetings to the people of Manipur, especially to members of the teaching community on the occasion of Teachers' Day, to be celebrated on September 5 .
In his message, Governor Acharya pointed out that the day is celebrated across the country in memory of Dr S Radhakrishnan, a renowned educationist, scholar and former President of India on his birth anniversary.
Dr Radhakrishnan recognised the importance of teachers who are the guides and mentors of the youth, the future pillars of the society, he said.
Chief minister N Biren also greeted and conveyed warm wishes to the state's teaching community on the occasion of Teachers' Day, stating that teachers unravel talents and demystify complexities.
"Teachers teach us life skills and help us to choose between right and wrong and mentor young minds, guide them to become responsible citizens," he added.
In separate messages, Education minister Th Basanta Kumar and Manipur Legislative Assembly speaker Th Satyabrata Singh extended heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to teachers on the occasion of Teachers' Day for their unwavering commitment to shaping young minds.
They wished every teacher to be in a good health and mentally strong to make their students shine.
On the other hand, Manipur People's Democratic Front wished the teachers on the occasion of Teachers' Day and stated that there will be no peace and development if people do not respect and love the teachers.
