Ban on housie lifted upto March

Imphal, January 02 2014: Following appeals from certain sections, Federation of Regional Indigenous Societies (FREINDS) has lifted its ban on organizing housie up to the month of March, 2014 .

However, after the period comes to an end, those clubs and organizations willing to organize housie have to seek prior consult of FRIENDS priory, produce valid documents of the clubs or organizations and follow certain norms laid down by it.

Accordingly, housie must be held on holidays only, ticket rate should not exceed Rs 500, necessary permission should be acquired from the respective locality or any register body where housie is going to be held and housie organizers should not borrow ground or hall to organize housie.
