CM credits PM for changes in state

Chief Minister N Biren Singh has informed that a programme would soon be launched wherein workers of BJP and other political parties which are in alliance with the state government would be meeting with a minister every Saturday.
He further informed that Union Home Minister Amit Shah would be visiting the state in June to inaugurate projects which have been completed within 100 days.
Addressing a press meet held at Thambal Shanglen.
Nityaipat Chuthek here Wednesday with regard to PM Narendra Modi's interaction with beneficiaries during the nationwide video conference at Shimla on Tuesday, CM Biren said that Manipur has undergone huge changes under PM Modi's government.
He highlighted the commencement of sub-divisional monitoring in all 68 sub-divisions of the state under 'One Sub-Division, One Product', for which the party workers have been instructed with the government officers concerned.
Informing that Amit Shah will be visiting the state by June 30 to inaugurate completed projects listed in the 100-days action plan.
He then said that it is now time for Manipur to move forward and as such, appealed to the people to excuse any inconvenience caused by development and infrastructure projects.
Regarding the matter of reserved forest areas, Biren said that the state government cannot interfere with reserve forest under the Act of 1927, and need the permission of the central government.
Thus, the responsibility of protecting the forest befalls on the people, not BJP, he remarked.
Informing that the Central Financial Committee has agreed to borrow Rs 3500 crore from World Bank to upgrade all roads of Manipur into concrete roads in a phase-by-phase manner; the CM said that police posts have been opened at Dzuko valley, Tungjoy and Behiang, for better protection of the borders and no villages will be affected in the process.
He then cautioned against outsiders who are trying to disrupt the unity of the hill and the valley.
Stating that India's prestige and status was further expanded under the leadership of PM Modi and BJP national president JP Nadda over the past 8 years, which also allowed NPP to be part of the government in the state; Biren said that the ministers will be interacting with workers of BJP and other political parties, who are part of the ruling government, at BJP's office every Saturday.
Highlighting the various efforts made by BJP during the pandemic, the CM said that every household in the country has now access to safe drinking water, with over 69 percent household connected in Manipur alone.
PM Modi's interaction with the beneficiaries across the country during the Garib Kalyan Sammelan on Tuesday is a historic moment, and touched the hearts of citizens.
India has become more united and all issues are being slowly resolved under PM Modi, he contended.
The press meet was also attended by BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi, minister L Susindro and MLA Dr Usham Deben.
