Reusable sanitary pads distributed to 5100 students of I/E

Imphal, November 30 2019: District administration Imphal East, under Corporate Social Responsibility, in collaboration with DPO Imphal, ICDS, ZEO zone-II, Global Shapers Community Imphal have distributed reusable sanitary pads to 5100 girl students of Government and aided schools under Imphal East.

As part of the initiative, which was taken to promote Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Imphal East DC distributed the reusable sanitary pads to the students of six schools namely Wangkhei High School on November 23, Azad Higher Secondary School Yairipok on November 25, Cosmopolitan High School on November 27, Lamlai Higher Secondary school on November 27, Kiyamgei Ideal High School on November 28 and Eastern Ideal School Akampat on November 28 .

The sanitary pads were distributed to a total of 5100 students from class VI to XII .
