Role of teachers in shaping society stressed

Imphal, October 30 2024: While emphasising the role of teachers in shaping the society, Zone-II zonal education officer M Premchandra has cautioned that the future will be grim if teachers fail to impart students with quality education.

Premchandra gave the clarion call.in his speech as the chief guest of the inaugural function of Multidisciplinary School Exhibition organised by Srivan Higher Secondary School, Luwangsangbam under the theme "Science and Technology For Sustainable Future" at the school on Wednesday.

Calling the teaching profession as a noble job, he cautioned that if the present generation is denied proper education they will face hardships in the future.

The ZEO also lamented adversities besieging the present society due to mistakes made in the past while commending the School for organising the programme and expressing confidence that such programmes would help achieve the objective of National Education Policy (NEP), 2020.Speaking on the occasion, School principal I Usharani informed that authorities are working to ensure requisite technologies in government schools so as to acquaint the students on application of modern methods.

While urging the teachers to serve the students as their own children, the principal expressed hope that the exhibition will act as a platform for the students to explore and showcase their skills and talents both at state and national level.
