Will continue webcast of 'Webline Literature Series': Sahitya Akademi

Imphal, December 29 2020: Sahitya Akademi said they will continue to webcast 'The Webline Literature Series' to continue benefiting literature lovers of India and abroad.

In the time of COVID-19 when the whole world was put on a standstill, when everything was put on hold and humanity was in trouble, it was 'literature' that came to the rescue and supported us firmly, said a statement issued by Sahitya Akademi.

Keeping in mind the increasing need to stay connected during these trying times, Sahitya Akademi initiated 'The Webline Literature Series', a virtual platform for the literary connoisseurs of not only India but also of the world to connect and share their feelings with one another, added the statement.

The academy has 423 virtual programmes as of now which have been viewed by 11 lakh literary connoisseurs on twitter, 5 lakh on Facebook and 2 lakh on Youtube as of now, added the statement.
