Pageant winners showcase Robert's collection

Imphal, May 29 2022: Miss World (2019) 2nd runner-up Suman Rao and Mister World (2016) Rohit Khandelwal walked as the showstoppers for renowned designer Robert Noarem's design and collection show during the grand finale show of Shirui Lily Festival in Ukhrul on Saturday.

Altogether, 26 models including three from Brazil and Russia participated in the show which Robert organised as a tribute to the festival.

Suman Rao and Rohit Khandelwal attended the show as showstoppers, wearing traditional clothes of Manipur.

According to Robert, the collection was based on love, unity and peace with blending of modernity and tradition, while showcasing the beautiful handloom products of the state.

Meanwhile, Suman Rao appreciated Robert Naorem for helping her in participating in the Shirui Lily Festival.

She expressed her elation on visiting the state, while adding that she had planned to visit Manipur previously but it did not work out.

Rohit Khandelwal also expressed joy on being able to experience the rich cultural heritage of the state, in addition to wearing the traditional clothes for the show.

He further expressed his satisfaction of working with Robert Naorem for the first time and added that he wants to visit the state again.

The grand finale snow was attended by Tourism Department director and CEO among others.
