AMWJU invites nominations for awards

Imphal, December 27 2024: All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) has invited nominations for Best Photographer Award and Best Video Journalist Award for the year 2024 .

The awards will be presented during the Golden Jubilee celebration of Manipur Press Club on January 6, 2025, informed AMWJU in a release.

Interested members of AMWJU, both freelance and staff journalists, may submit their portfolios in tne crime beat category, the release informed, while adding that nominees must have a minimum of three years of experience in the held of photojournalism or video journalism.

The submitted work must reflect high journalistic standards and contribute to a deeper understanding of the respective incidents.

For Best Photojournalist Award, participants must submit at least five printed photographs (8X12 size), with three copies each, published between November 2023 and November 2024 .

For the Best Video Journalist Award, participants are required to submit at least five videos related to news/stories, with three copies each, that were broadcast between November 2023 and November 2024 .

All nominations should be accompanied by a forwarding letter from the news editor, photo editor, or video editor and submitted within December 31, 2024, at the reception counter of the Manipur Press Club, the release added.
