Hill Leaders' Day & Meeyamgi Numit held at Pherzawl

Pherzawl district administration held its 2nd District Hill Leaders' Day & Meeyamgi Numit at the office complex of the deputy commissioner on Friday in the presence of DC Joseph Pauline Kamson, SP A Ghaneshyam Sharma, SDO/BDO (Tipaimukh & Vangai) Dinesh Kumar Singh, DLOs, village chiefs/chairmen and public.
During the event, the Pherzawl DC heard the grievances of the public whilst interacting with leaders and CSOs.
He distributed NPSA-2013 ration cards to 16 beneficiaries and received five applications related to various issues and developmental works.
Police stations at Pherzawl and Vangai Range were some of the demands made to the SP by the village leaders.
Public welfare services including awareness through PPT presentation by forest department and distribution of saplings, free text books and school uniforms, Wi-Fi routers to 5 select villages under Bharat Broadband under IT department and other benefits were also given to the beneficiaries.
Besides providing other healthcare related services, the CMO team administered Covid-19 vaccine doses on the spot.
In all, 18 stalls of different departments were also set up to meet the demand of the public.
The primary objective of the District Hill Leaders' Day & Meeyamgi Numit is to bring about transparency and efficiency in the implementation of various welfare schemes of the state government.
