MUSU condemns statement of BJP's RK Ranjan

Imphal, March 27 2019: Manipur University Students' Union (MUSU) has condemned a alleged statement made by BJP spokesperson Dr RK Ranjan on a local TV channel regarding Manipur University issue.

The students' union alleged that Dr RK Ranjan had claimed that AP Pandey was innocent during the TV programme.

The claim that VC AP Pandey is innocent before the report of the inquiry committee is out is unfortunate and has caused apprehension among the students if the findings and the report will be fair at all, said MUSU.

The statement of Dr RK Ranjan has not only caused apprehension but also undermined the cause and demands of the MU community who were on protest for months, added MUSU.

The matter is yet to be heard in the Court of law, said MUSU and demanded an apology from Dr RK Ranjan on the issue before the public at the earliest.
