Assam Rifles provides assistance to physically challenged persons

Imphal, December 26 2020: Assam Rifles today provided assistance to persons with disabilities at Kangvai.

Wheel chairs, walkers and walking sticks were distributed to 35 physically challenged individuals hailing from remote areas of Bishnupur and Churachandpur districts in the event organised as a part of Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme (CAP), said a statement released by PRO Assam Rifles.

Assam Rifles CAP with the motto 'Friends of the Hill People' endeavours to provide welfare to remotely located people of the society and also strengthen the faith of people in Government and Assam Rifles, added the statement.

The locals present at the event expressed profound gratitude to the Assam Rifles for undertaking such an initiative, added the statement.
