Thoubal, November 25 2017: Irong Chesaba Development Forum (ICDF), Thoubal has urged the State Government and the authority concerned to improve the dilapidated roads of Thoubal-Mayang Imphal, State Highway and Irong Khunou.

The Forum has asserted that the Irong Chesaba village under Thoubal district still has not recovered from the grave flood which hit various areas of the State.

On the other hand, the establishment of Ithai Barrage worsened the situation of the flood victims when the authority of the barrage let off all the lake water which had been blocked by the dam.

Nearly 14 areas of Irong Chesaba village, located along the Thoubal-Mayang Imphal, State Highway have been severely affected.

Condemning the action of Ithai barrage authorities, the forum has sought the State Government's attention into the matter and urged for improvement of the pathetic roads.
